Today in church the speaker was talking about death and related a story about his dog. He said it was the best dog in the world and said that he was mourning the loss of his precious pet. It made me think about my dogs and how much joy they bring to our family. Elye is so mellow and loving his favorite place in the house is in the bathroom under the shower curtain or any room where there are people. Elye loves everyone he loves to greet everyone at the door with a friendly lick--that not every one appreciates. Elye is mellow and very low key. Our new dog Lily on the other hand is very hyper and inquisitive she also loves everyone... as in running jumping licking and any other spastic thing she can think of. She is a morning person and wants to get really really wound up the second she is awake. We have recently discovered that she will follow a laser light around the house or yard and we have been able to wear her out some by using the laser as a much needed tool. Right now with Lily we are feeling like new parents...But this too will pass.
